PERSONAL: Featured in the Netflix series “Break Point”. Has a son, Jordan; his father, Guy, is a tennis coach and his mother, Kathy May, was a Top 10 player on the women's tour. Idols growing up were Juan Martin del Potro and Pete Sampras, who presented him with a cake on his 18th birthday. Enjoys playing FIFA and hanging out with friends. Fan of Manchester United (Premier League) and Los Angeles Chargers (NFL).
Tommy Paul (USA)
DELRAY BEACH: 2025 is Paul’s sixth consecutive year playing in the tournament. 2024 finalist. Quarterfinalist in 2023. Semifinalist in 2022 as a wild card, falling to eventual champion and then-world No. 13 Norrie.
CAREER: In 2024, in addition to reaching the DBO final, won Dallas and Queen’s Club (London), reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals and won an Olympic bronze medal in men’s doubles with Taylor Fritz. Was the No. 1-ranked American for two weeks in 2024. Wins over Top 10 players Medvedev and Ruud in 2024. First Grand Slam semifinal at 2023 Australian Open. First reached career-high of No. 12 in 2023. Finalist twice in 2023 in Acapulco (def. No. 5 Fritz in SF) and Eastbourne. Def. world No. 1 Alcaraz to reach 2023 Masters 1000 SF Toronto. 2022 wins over world No. 3 Zverev, No. 4 Alcaraz and Grand Slam major winners Cilic and Wawrinka. PERSONAL: Lives in Palm Beach County. As a young teenager, lived in the dorms with Fritz and former Delray champ Opelka at the USTA training center in Boca Raton and they remain good friends on the Tour. An all-around athlete who also skated and played basketball. Grew up in North Carolina and now helps at his mother’s farm in New Jersey when not traveling on the Tour.
