DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 21, 2023) – Delray Beach Open reigning champion Taylor Fritz will begin his title defense on Wednesday night, Feb. 14, while American compatriot TommyPaul will open play on Thursday night, Feb. 15. Fritz and Paul are the top two Americans on the ATP Tour, world-ranked No. 10 and 13, respectively. Night sessions start at 6 p.m., with Fritz and Paul scheduled to play the 8 p.m. matches.

The 32nd edition of the Delray Beach Open ATP tournament takes place Feb. 9-18, 2024 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. Tickets are on sale now at DelrayBeachOpen.com.

Fritz will try to become the first player to win the title in back-to-back years since Jason Stoltenberg in 1996-97. Ranked No. 7, Fritz was the first current Top 10 player to hoist the Delray Beach Open trophy with his victory in February. Since then, he has won a sixth career title, made the US Open quarterfinals and helped Team World win the Laver Cup.

This year has been a breakout season for Paul, 26, a Palm Beach County resident. He reached his first Grand Slam semifinal at the Australian Open with wins over two seeds and fellow American Ben Shelton, was a two-time finalist on tour and notched a win over No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, all leading to a move up the world rankings from No. 32 to a career-high No. 12. Paul will be competing in Delray Beach for the fifth consecutive year, where he reached the semifinals in 2022.

The 10-day Delray Beach Open will begin with an ATP Champions Tour Legends event opening weekend, Feb. 9-11, featuring six-time DBO champions Bob and Mike Bryan, the most successful doubles team in the history of the sport. Joining them will be former world No. 2 Tommy Haas, former Delray Beach champions Ivo Karlovic and Sam Querrey, local pros Jesse Levine and Scoville Jenkins, and past French Open champions Luke and Murphy Jensen. Qualifying rounds for the ATP 250 event also take place opening weekend. Singles and doubles main draw action starts Monday, Feb. 12 and concludes with the finals on Sunday, Feb. 18.
